Can one attempt to reach the awesome depths of a guitar writing duo such as Damon
Johnson and David Anderson? Here is a version of the way I play one of my all time
favorites.

Tune the guitar down ½ step (depending on your player) and then tune the low E to D.

Damon’s picking style is open palm and lot’s of down strokes. Really dig in.
Hammer on the second note of each repetition and take a wild wide wavy bend 
on each of the G notes.

I use my second and third fingers for the 5_7 slide leaving my first and fourth free for the
chiming G and D strings.
